Kennesaw Mountain National Park reopens

With the government shutdown now over, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield reopened on Thursday.

“I want to say, President Obama, I want you to keep your word and work with the Republicans,” said Pamela Barott, who continued to visit the park when it was officially shut down. “This could have all been avoided.”

Chief Park Ranger Anthony Winegar said he was glad the park reopened so visitors and his staff could return.
